SQLRanger 4.0 is out!

SQLRanger 4.0 adds the ability to save monitor history out to a SQL database. SQLRanger application. Future enhancements will leverage the database history to show point-in-time statistics on the monitor. Also, reports based on the history database are in the works.

To set up history monitoring, Go to the About Tab  and press the Configure Monitor button.

Why every SQL Server should be a cluster

So, this article ruffled a few feathers. I believe it’s because of the provocative title. I wrote the title that way so that I could, “Catching the Readers Attention”. The truth of course is that not EVERY SQL Server will be a cluster,  but the point I was trying to make is that you should consider using clustering for the reasons I state in the article. All valid reasons.
